Early Preschool A programs for children ages 2 to 3 years old. EPA means your child is potty-trained and can just about use the potty on their own. Your child will remain in EPA until June. Each year Noah’s Ark “promotes” our 3 & 4 year old classes. Your child will move up into one of our 3-year-old rooms at this time. We know for some children it may seem that they should move up prior to this date, but there are a couple of reasons why your child will remain here until June.
First, we keep the preschool classes in a “school class” format. The children learn specific lessons which build on each other every week. Second, if your child is not three by July 31st, they would not meet the Missouri cut-off date for Kindergarten at the right time. Therefore, if your child stays in EPA until June, they will be prepared for Kindergarten at the appropriate time.
